We are a registered non-profit animal rescue that focuses on providing a permanent home for guinea pigs with special or long term medical care needs. Our mission is to give these little piggies the love and care they need to live happy and healthy lives.
Our Story
Alittlebitiffy Animal Sanctuary was founded in 2014 by husband and wife duo, Iffy and Graham Glendinning. Iffy is an avian and exotics veterinary technician working at UQ Vets Small Animal Hospital. Graham is an aquaculturist working within the Australian aquarium industry. They recognised a gap within the animal rescue community where the smaller, sometimes forgotten pets like guinea pigs slipped through the cracks, and strived to fill that gap. Between them, they have several degrees and advanced diplomas in animal care, and work closely with a team of veterinarians to make sure the guinea pigs in sanctuary care have their medical needs met.
